Handmade in Sicily: how one of our sweatshirts is made
Organic cotton, fabrics that tell the story of the island and hands that sew in Castelbuono, in the heart of the Madonie mountains. Why none of our sweatshirts exists twice.
One piece, one story
When we started thinking about our clothes, we didn’t want yet another sweatshirt with a printed logo. We wanted something that told the story of the Sicily we live in: the prickly pears on the dry-stone walls, the majolica tiles on the floors of old houses, the colours of the sea and the land. And we wanted it to be made here, by people we know.
Hand-sewn in Castelbuono
Every sweatshirt and every T-shirt is hand-sewn in Castelbuono, a village in the Madonie mountains a few kilometres from Cefalù. The detail that makes them unique is a band of fabric applied by hand – vertically on the sweatshirt, on the pocket or the sleeve cuffs of the T-shirts.
The fabric of the band changes from piece to piece: each one has a different pattern. That’s why no sweatshirt exists twice.

The base: organic cotton
The base garment is made of 100% certified organic cotton, produced to fair wear standards for working conditions. It is soft, warm and holds up well in the wash: a piece to keep for a long time, not to replace every season.

How to care for it
Wash at low temperatures, inside out, and let it air-dry: the cotton stays soft and the band keeps its colours longer. You’ll find the whole collection in our clothing category.
