Which natural soap for which skin? Our guide
Calendula, chamomile, charcoal, green clay or sea salt? A simple guide to choosing the right natural soap for your skin.
First of all: get to know your skin
After a shower, wait half an hour without applying any cream. If your skin feels tight, it tends to be dry. If it shines, especially on the forehead and nose, it is oily or combination. If it reddens easily or reacts to fragrances, it is sensitive. That’s where your choice begins.
Dry skin
Look for soaps rich in plant oils, which cleanse without leaving your skin feeling tight. Calendula oil, avocado and olive oil are classic choices.

- Rich in calendula oil
- Made for skin that tends to feel dry

Sensitive skin
Less is more: few ingredients, gentle or no fragrance. Chamomile has always been loved by sensitive skin; a simple olive oil soap or our sea salt soap without colourings or fragrances are very gentle alternatives.

From our shop
Chamomile soap – 100 g
- Made for sensitive skin
- Only plant fats and oils
- Gentle for everyday use
Oily or blemish-prone skin
This is where “absorbing” ingredients work: activated charcoal and green clay have long been used for deep cleansing. Use them once a day, without overdoing it: skin that is stripped too much tends to produce even more sebum.

From our shop
Activated charcoal soap – 100 g
- With natural plant charcoal
- Coconut and olive oil base
- With shea butter and almond oil
Dull or rough skin
Once or twice a week, an exfoliating soap helps remove dead skin cells and leaves skin smoother. Ours contains whole poppy seeds for a natural massage effect, with a neroli scent. Alternatively, the sea salt soap is perfect after a day at the beach.

What if you choose by scent?
That works too: lavender for the evening, peppermint to wake up, rose for a moment of pampering. The whole range is in our soaps category.
Note: if you have a skin condition such as dermatitis or eczema, ask your dermatologist for advice before changing products.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the same soap for face and body?
Often yes, especially with gentle soaps. For your face, choose varieties without exfoliants and with a light scent.
Is charcoal soap OK for daily use?
For oily skin, yes – once a day. If your skin feels tight, alternate it with a more nourishing soap.
How often should I use an exfoliating soap?
Once or twice a week is enough for most skin types.
How do I make my soap last longer?
Let it dry between uses on a draining soap dish, away from the shower spray.
