Planting exotic trees

Planting exotic trees in the countryside

We recently embarked on an exciting journey to transform our garden in Sicily into a lush paradise by planting 50 exotic and tropical trees. This project had been a dream of ours for a long time and we finally decided to realise it.

The choice of trees

After careful research and planning, we selected a variety of trees, including avocados, asiminas and other unique species. These trees are not only beautiful, but will also produce delicious fruits that we can enjoy and share. Each tree was chosen for its ability to grow in Sicily's Mediterranean climate, ensuring a vibrant and varied garden.

The planting process

With shovels in hand and lots of enthusiasm, we dug holes, carefully placed each sapling and made sure it was well planted. The process was physically demanding but incredibly rewarding. Seeing each tree in its place was like adding a new chapter to the story of our garden.

Why

This project was more than just landscaping: it was about reconnecting with nature and contributing to biodiversity. By introducing exotic and tropical species into our garden, we hope to create a space where nature thrives and surprises us with its beauty and abundance.

We are excited to see these trees grow and mature in the coming years. They will provide us with shade, fresh fruit and a sense of fulfilment every time we enter our garden. This project is just the beginning of our journey to create a space that reflects our love of nature and sustainable living.

The Future

We have made great progress with our gardening project! So far, we have planted over 400 trees, turning our dream into an ever-greener reality. In addition, we have started a collaboration with the Hotel Kalura in Cefalù, where we are planting trees to make the hotel more sustainable and surrounded by nature.

These efforts not only contribute to biodiversity, but also reflect our commitment to a more ecological and lush future.
