ICE SWIMMING

The German Ice Swimming Championships will take place this year in the middle of nature at the Landhotel Altes Zollhaus in Neuhermsdorf. From 50m to 1000m, participants can compete in icy waters (2-4°C). The hotel, located 800 metres above sea level, promises perfect cold weather at the end of February for the competition.
In addition, participants will be treated to a wonderful wellness area consisting of four different saunas and a hot tub by the race lake.

Yes, it is possible! This event is open to everyone with good health. From beginners to professional swimmers. If you are not experienced, you can easily start with 50 metres.

Ice swimming is also good for your health. It releases dopamine and serotonin. It stimulates your parasympathetic system, which is responsible for rest and repair.
