Every year, the Zollhaus Open German Championships bring together athletes and swimming enthusiasts in icy waters. In our beloved Landhotel Altes Zollhaus, a historic hotel with a lake in the middle of the forest, we celebrate the beauty of nature around us.
Sport and sustainability
For us, the Zollhaus Open is not only a competition, but also an opportunity to promote important values such as respect for the environment. This is what we do to make our event sustainable:
- Wooden medals: we use recycled wood from our forest to create the medals by hand for the event
- Local food: We collaborate with local producers to offer fresh, zero-kilometre food.
- No trace in nature: We take pride in leaving each place exactly as we find it, leaving nothing in nature.
